Have
You Ever Spelled "DOG" Backwards?
"Have You Ever Spelled DOG Backwards?" is a new heartwarming book by Steve Fentress, who resides in Currituck County, NC. Entertainingly written, it is a tribute to "our most noble, virtuous, and true companion." It is sprinkled with delightful and sometimes thought provoking quotes, such as, 'He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.' - - Anonymous.
During February give your loved one a gift that keeps on loving, a delightful spayed/neutered cat, or a dog from the Currituck Animal Shelter. Each adopted pet comes with a free generous supply of pet food plus you can purchase at a 50% discount Steve Fentress' heart-warming, autographed new book!
Thanks to Steve's great generosity, when you purchase this book ALL of the proceeds from its sale go to the Animal Lovers Assistance League, which will help us to continue to provide excellent care and a clean, comfortable shelter for the homeless animals of this county.

Adoptable Pets In the Currituck County Animal Shelter
You never know what treasures you will find in the Currituck County Animal Shelter and the Animal Lovers Assistance League
would be happy to adopt a new pet to you!
Each year, the Animal Lovers Assistance League has hundreds of animals that need a good home and we depend on responsible pet owners
to adopt a new pet from our shelter.
It's a sad fact that when you allow your pets to breed more kittens or puppies, buy a pet
from a "backyard" animal breeder or spend hundreds of dollars on a purebred pet, you might be missing a great pet from our shelter that
will cost you a whole lot less-and love you just as much!
We think that when you make a dollar to dollar comparison, you just won't find a better value than you will if you adopt a pet from your local animal shelter.
Please, if you are considering a new pet for your home, stop by our shelter
and give one of our pets a chance!
For a complete list of the animals we have in our shelter as well as our adoption requirements and
adoption fees, please visit our Pet Adoption section-we might just have your next pet!
